Bob's Discount Furniture Sucks
Okay so the prices are good. I ordered and everything arrived fine. The customer service line is a BIG nightmare. Trying to get a human on the line sends you in a maze of menu's that are very limited and has no option to talk with a human.
This inadequate customer service line is poor judgment and can show that a company is scared of complaints and is not going to help you with any of those complaints. If I knew this before my purchase I would not of shopped at Bob's and expect that you exercise extreme caution before using Bob's furniture for your next purchase.
Update: So I had my sofa/couch for under 2 years and the top the the coach is starting to turn white. Unfortunately Bob's Goof proof protection plan is won't cover it because the terms are so limited it's worthless.

I hate bob's discount furniture. their delivery services suck. that's because they contract out to these crappy companies who probably round up illegals off the side of the road and give them some tools and dollies for the day to make deliveries. i have had these jerks come to delivery my stuff three times. first time the delivery team was rude and kept complaining about the fact that they had to go up and down some stairs and there weren't that many. not to mention the furniture was damaged. so i refused to take any of it and part of my order was missing any damn way. second time the delivery guys were good, but still part of my order missing. and this most recent time, these idiots could not fit my furniture (sofa) through the back door, but yet the last two delivery guys were able to get the love seat in. both are the same width only difference is the length. then they damaged my screen on my back door. two lazy ass idiots. then when i said call your supervisor because i need to report that my screen is damaged, they got all upset at me and put the couch down on the dirt. like i would accept that after its all dirty. then they went to their truck for ten minutes, came back to my yard and took the couch back to the truck and took off with my bed rails too. how freakin rude. now i have to reschedule another day for them to redeliver my sofa and bed rails again. this crap has been going on for a month. customer service is rude, slow and inadequate to boot. if they don't get it right this time, i will file a complaint with consumer affairs and whatever other state organizations. this is crazy. i have had enough. and they better compensate me for all my headache and wasted time! i will let everyone i can know not to shot a bob's. they are sh$t[at]y and should be out of business!

Bobs furniture should be investigated for fraud and deception. Customer service stinks and you wait an hour or more for someone to pick up the phone only to send you to another agent and to continue waiting to see if someone will pick up the phone. we bought four leather recliners and they all loose their color . A service guy comes to your house sprays it and bam two months later you call again for service. whata joke. buyer beware, bob is a high class scam.

Something should be done about this so called Bob's Discount Furniture store. It seems to me he is getting away with taking our hard earned money. And running away with it. I bet he is living it up with all the money he takes from his customers. I bet he is laughing all the way to his bank...Singing "people are fools,just keep coming to my store"! Shame on you BOB...Karma is a Bit**h....With more people making complaints...in time he will be out of business.

Bob’s Discount Furniture tell consumer to DROP DEAD!!!
Well here's another of Bob's Discount HORROR STORIES. I bought the Eldorado wall unit along with 2 end tables. Total sale was $1750 system from the Yonkers store approx. 1 month ago. This is after previously buy a dinning room table, which took 6 deliveries before they got it right. Well the first 3 delivery attempts of the 3 wall unit pieces were damaged goods. Scratches, knife gouges, dark stains and blotches and doors that wouldn't close were among some of the various damages to this unit. Even the delivery drivers said don't accept it. Last Sunday, yes Sunday, I get a call from the warehouse from a guy named Paul. He tells me in no uncertain terms that Bob's will not deliver the furniture to us any longer. He said "I'm messing up his deliveries to other customers because I keep refusing delivery. He tells me that I should have accepted the pieces and they would fix them eventually. All this mind with a very condescending attitude. So I go the phone route, which I'm sure all of you other frustrated customers know about, speak to the General Manager Jeff in the Yonkers who assures me that I will get another delivery attempt. Last night, 10/21/10, Jeff calls me at 9:30 PM to tell me that Bob's will NOT deliver again. This is after a received e Mail confirming delivery this coming Saturday. Jeff tells me that no delivery will happen. He as well as the condescending warehouse man Paul tell me that Bob's wants to cut ties with. In other words DROP DEAD to the customer, go away and never come back. Now some of you readers may think we're very picky when it comes to purchases like this. Not true at all. All I want is a delivery that's not damaged. Little nicks, pin holes etc is acceptable but not like I described earlier. Rest assured that I will make Bob's and those who are involved in the fiasco miserable. I plan on sitting in front of the Yonkers store with signs reading "Don't buy from Bob's" "Bob's UNFAIR" and "Bob's Sells JUNK" in addition to some condescending, there's that word again, customer service. I guess Bob's sell so many damaged pieces that they can afford to throw away business. Bob's - Why in the name of the good Lord can't you get it right? WHY?????

I went to Bob's Furniture and demanded my money back. I ordered a sofa in July and it's the end of Nov. and we still don't have the sofa. If I hear the phrase "we're looking into it" one more time I would have screamed. Their servise department is a JOKE. They lie to you from the minute you walk into the store. I would never ever tell anyone to go to Bob's for anything. By the way their systems must be as bad as their service and their furniture because it's alway's down. If they tell you they will get right back to you I recemend that you get in your car and go to the store because it's the only way you will hear from them. I won't even get into their "goof proof" waranty.

I brought a mattress from Bobs paid 519.00 was told they would take the old mattress away it was even on receipt. Well they delivered mattress and said they were not taking the old mattress said they called someone and the person told them not to take away the old mattress.My husband even drug this big king size mattress to porch just to help out the driver. Now i have a king size mattress on porch in fear of citation from city. After being on hold with customer service for hour finally i get someone just for them to tell me that they can't do anything until Monday and today is Wednesday don't need to hear im sorry need someone to get this mattress off my porch....BOB'S service sucks...........If you see advertisement on t.v. please do yourself a favor and change the channel.....

Bob's really does suck. We bought our couch and our chair and a half 2 years ago and the couch is broken and the cushions are all shifted and coming apart. I called and spoke with someone a year ago and they told me to file a claim. There was a lot going on during that year and forgot to send the paper. I recently sent the paper and they said they will not fix our stuff because we waited. We paid for the warranty and they will not fix it. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE!!!!

Bought a bedroom set. Design flaws as drawers will not shut properly. After delivering 3 sets they finally offered to discount my purchase 25%. However, if I agreed to their "concession" the warranty will be nullified. Returning entire set for full refund and beg people to STAY AWAY. The furniture is made in Vietnam and will not be the same quality that the set you see in the store is. SCAM

My daughter bought a sofa, chair and ottoman from bob's in Portland Maine. 3 days later the ottoman broke; when you sat down on it you sank into a hole. A service tech came out and told her it "was not meant to be sat on"!!!!!!! She has been on the phone constantly, they sent another tech out and refuse to replace it, after 3 DAYS OF USE! NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER SHOP AT BOB'S

My leather reliner head rest is disintergrating. Bob's Goof Proof policy does not cover "normal wear and tear". The Mgfr doesnt make the recliner anymnore, but they can sell me a new head rest for $250 and I have to get it intsallled. Now the reclining mechanism need to be replaced. the repair man told me they will call the next day. A week later my wife called them and they said they didnt process the paperwork and the part will take 4 weeks.
BOB'S SUCKS BIG TIME. Dont be fooled by pricing.

I sure wish I would have have known about all of these problems before I bought my couch from Bob's. I bought a new couch there about 2 months ago, and they gave us a bonus. BED BUGS! What a freaking nightmare this has been for me, my husband and my children.
