Bob's Discount Furniture Sucks
Okay so the prices are good. I ordered and everything arrived fine. The customer service line is a BIG nightmare. Trying to get a human on the line sends you in a maze of menu's that are very limited and has no option to talk with a human.
This inadequate customer service line is poor judgment and can show that a company is scared of complaints and is not going to help you with any of those complaints. If I knew this before my purchase I would not of shopped at Bob's and expect that you exercise extreme caution before using Bob's furniture for your next purchase.
Update: So I had my sofa/couch for under 2 years and the top the the coach is starting to turn white. Unfortunately Bob's Goof proof protection plan is won't cover it because the terms are so limited it's worthless.

Went to Bob's Store on a Monday and bought a queen size mattress. The salesman was very pleasant and helpful and delivery was set for Thursday. When I mentioned this to a friend that night they said they read all these horror dtories here online, so of course I was very upset. Well the mattress and box spring were delivered Thursday right on time, the delivery people were courteous, removed the old mattress and box spring, helped put the dust ruffle on, put the mattress cover on for me and left all in a matter of about 15 minutes. I have to say I had a very good experience.

Bob no longer even owns the company, he's just a paid spokesman. If I ever bought a mattress that had bed bugs, the salesperson who sold me the junk would literally EAT the mattress. I would get arrested before I would let some low class 3rd world Company such as BOBS take advantage of me like the way all these people have been. WAKE UP PEOPLE! You pay for a product, bad or good, it should be a respectcful transaction from start to finish. What ever happened to the "customer is always right"? They obviously do not have the means to rectify thier customer service policy. Ive been in "Bobs" in East Lyme CT. Crappy store, crappy furniture. And the "PIT", its the junk they try to deliver to the unsuspecting customers who sometimes feel obligated to just accept the damaged,cheaply made pressed board garbage. I would NEVER put any of that junky furniture in my home. Bob's should be closed down.

Ok,people.let me warn you about bobs THEY SUCK....PERIODIWas.IN a major rush for furniture ..spent over $3000 .in furniture no lie.I was lied to, and decieved and over charged plus they said the appreciated my buzz so much they were giving me a $100 rebate ,I come to find out they were just giving back what they overcharged me ..what a fool I have been for going with bobs..Oh by the way I purchased from the store in queens new York sales person female with British accent she is a BIG LIAR!!!! So if you have to shop their be carefull... Shop elsewhere..oh.I.had to exchange my furniture twice now and I purchased it back in July of 2011 and I'm still waiting on one more piece to get fixed. I bought a whole apt furniture bedroom living room living room and bedroom for my 7 year old..all have had issue..but be carefull with that British sales lady from queens can't remember her name but when I do ill post it..

The place sucks plain and simple. I was talked into buying a BOB-O-PEDIC about 5 years ago. Since then I haven't been able to sleep. The construction is poor at best. Since I bought it, the bed has started to delaminate and turn to dust in middle. Forget trying to call them about a warranty bought with the bed.

You get what you pay for. Yes you do get a low price and there is a chance your furniture will last as long as it should, but there is an equally good chance that it will fall apart well before it should. If you are willing to take that chance , then go for it, otherwise buy from someone who will stand behind what they sell.

I bought a couch set a year ago next month all the thread is coming off the cushions, all the legs are stripped, one end of the couch is fallen to the floor so the wood frame is ripping threw the leather, the other part of the couch leans foward and i have been trying to call them for the past almost year and all i get is the run around. it gives you a number to call for services and than press 2 for if you have a goof proof plan and when you press 2 it brings you to a different number the i already tried...next time i'll pay an extra couple hundred dollars and go to ashley furniture...the couch set i had before i bought this one at Bob's i had for 5 years and its an ashley and i only had the 1 year warranty on and the only reason we got rid of it is because i was bored with looking at it after 5 years...and the people we gave it to still have it a year later....so i guess i'm going to have to suck up the $700.00 on this couch set that i spent at Bob's because i don't see them repairing or giving any money back

I just bought a king size bed not including mattresses and the first time i even crawled onto the bed it collapsed I checked out underneath and to my surprise there was 6 pegs holding the bed up , Not legs.... PEGS!!! I tried to fix it and it and i couldnt even get the mattress on it this time. If my children were on this bed when it collapsed then I tell you what bobs would have been getting sued! to make it worse the previous bedroom set i bought there the rails were no better so i went to sleepys and picked some up.

Do NOT buy a couch here. We bought one less than 2 yrs ago and it is literally falling apart. The pull out is lopsided and the seat cushions and back cushions are flat and useless- it is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. Of course they won't come look at it or give any type of credit or refund. They suggested we replace all of our 12 cushions for $50-75 each! Again- if you want a decent couch, or even a couch that lasts more than 6 months- do NOT buy one from Bob's. They don't care if you are happy with their product and certainly don't care about the poor quality and the fact that you are stuck with a horrible couch that you can't use and certainly won't be able to sell or even give to anyone. Worst customer experience and worst company ever!!

This was easily the worst shopping experience of my life. 2,000 dollars worth of furniture and within 6 months the leather is cracking and beginning to peal. No need to worry though we have the goof proof plan! Oh that's right, they only fix holes or rips and we are not covered even though all our furniture is falling apart.
We have contacted every avenue of Bob's and have gotten zero assistance or one person to admit they sold us crap. If a picture is worth a thousand words check out my avatar as that is the seat cushion to my leather couch. We are a family of three and that's how it looked after one year. We no longer use that cushion so now the others are starting to look like one. It is a complete embarrassment to have people come over and sit on our couch!!!
Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know what happened to this furniture company. At one time their merchandise was good quality and their customer service was excellent.
I just had a horrible experience with them. I ordered 3 pieces of furniture. I checked the tracker for the delivery time, which was 12:45 PM. At 12:30, I received a phone call telling me that one of the items was not on the truck and they would have to come another day to deliver that. When the delivery man came with the other 2 items, 3 hours late, he told me that at 5:30 AM they knew that the other item was not on the truck and had told the dispacher to call me so that I would not have to miss 2 days work waiting for furniture. But, they did not call.
One of the pieces that was delivered was not what I had ordered and I sent it back. The other piece was missing parts.
The driver suggested that I accept it, make them bring me another one, and use the best parts from both when they deliver the new one.
Customer service is rude and was antagonized me.

Even more disturbing is the manner in which Bob's treats their employees. My girlfriend was seriously sexually harassed and with the corroboration of other employees, the offender was forced to resign. The store manager then retaliated by trying to make it appear that she had numerous errors on orders, not knowing that she had created a private macro which accompanied any order she processed. She went to human resources and they located a job for her out of state for a guaranteed 40 hours. That lasted only a couple months then the hours decreased until they were offering her less than part time. She went to human resources again and they placed her in another store a further hour drive from her family. The 40 hour guarantee literally did not last a day. She was now informed it would be 35 hours despite extra gas and tolls totalling $130-140 a month.
Basically, these people just shut her up temporarily to keep her from litigating a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit and then dragged out the proceedings while cutting her hours until she can no longer work there, which is a continuity of the retaliation.
We are now going to contact a labor attorney and the I-Team to spotlight Bob's underhanded treatment of employeess and put the issue out in the media to let people know just how "friendly" good old Bob's really is. And if you're the rep who reads these to respond, it's not a matter of If she proceeds with due process, it's simply a matter of When. Nobody, especially a hard working disabled person, shoould be treated like this.

Add another to the list. Bob's in Brookfield, CT. Furnished my whole condo with Bob's and I regret EVERY PURCHASE minus the Bob-o-Pedic. The furniture is JUNK. Every drawer has a cracked runner, every chair is lopsided. We bought the warranty which is an aboslute JOKE. They say they will replace it with the same item if something happens. THE RUB IS THEY NEVER HAVE THE SAME ITEM IN STOCK!!! So they send out some idiot with a brown magic marker to "fix" your furniture.
Booooooo to Bob, his annoying wife and his annoying commercials. YOU STINK.

Ya another one here. So I go to bobs and pick out a couch and the sales guy takes me in the office to make sure i got good credit. We stand there like dummies while this fat cow secratary talks to her boyfriend or something on her cellphone. We stood there for over 10 mins and she ignored us. So I just walked out. Bobs saugus fire that fat cow secratary and get somebody who wants to work for a living. After reading this other stuff i'm not going back anyway

I gave bob"s a down payment of 1,300 in feb.so in march we go to make another payment,they say the chair we not be ready until april 14.ok we still make the payment.ok april 14 we go to make last payment so we can have a everything delivered together.so after we make final payment.they said the chair and frame of sofa bed will not be ready until may 14th.so what happen.i was only suppose to be just waiting for a chair.so i canceled my order and recieve full refund they are very unorganized.

Don't go by the display in the store. Bobs Delivery people are very unprofessional and their refund policy is not the greatest. The product I ordered came damaged twice out of the box!!! It's been a month waiting for resolution.
