Bob's Discount Furniture Sucks
Okay so the prices are good. I ordered and everything arrived fine. The customer service line is a BIG nightmare. Trying to get a human on the line sends you in a maze of menu's that are very limited and has no option to talk with a human.
This inadequate customer service line is poor judgment and can show that a company is scared of complaints and is not going to help you with any of those complaints. If I knew this before my purchase I would not of shopped at Bob's and expect that you exercise extreme caution before using Bob's furniture for your next purchase.
Update: So I had my sofa/couch for under 2 years and the top the the coach is starting to turn white. Unfortunately Bob's Goof proof protection plan is won't cover it because the terms are so limited it's worthless.

Did you know that Bob was voted the No 1 retailer in the US? You must be some competitors that don;t like that BOb is growing faster than you. Those negative comments will not stop Bob from growing more and more.

This company is a nightmare! Goofproof is a farce! Defective merchandise will not be repaired, but if you hit it with a sledgehammer, you're good to go! I've spent a total of 3 hours on hold today only to be told that it's not their fault that the leg of my 2-year old dresser is splitting. It's a vicious circle.....NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I am on a tight income and chose Bob's for their prices. The furniture in the showroom is pristine... the sales personnel are hawks and are eager to take your money. I chose the Anniston couch and chair 1/2. We picked up the couch at the distribution center the following day. I was told my chair was on back order, and given a date of availability and pickup (1 month later). Finally the day comes, and I call just to make sure everything is set to go, when they tell me that they are all out and once again the chair is on back order!! At this point, they don't care that I'm upset and they won't give me a refund, or a discount. I received no apology, only excuses. FINALLY, I got my chair (last one) but when I got it home and unwrapped, the fabric from the underside was torn!!! (I stapled it back to the frame). Both pieces of furniture had rogue staples where fabric met the frame. Some were dangerous and I had to remove them. My other complaint is for quality. I've had this set for only 6 months and the cushions are flattened and worn. It seriously looks worn like a 6 YEAR old couch. Bob's has no warranties or coverage for normal wear and tear, or dissatisfaction with their products. NEVER EVER will I shop at Bobs again.

If only I had read the negative comments about Bob's before we purchased $4000 worth of furniture that was promised delivery on 05/19/12. We started getting phone calls on 05/17/12 telling us that some of our furniture would not be delivered. On Friday we were told all of our furniture would be delivered as promised. I received a phone call the day of delivery telling us that none of our furniture made it to the delivery truck and would not be delivered after we had waited for two weeks. Don't buy anyting at Bob's it is not worth the grief. We cancelled our order.

What are they supposed to do with returned mattresses? Throw them out? Don't be ridiculous, if there is nothing wrong with it, of course they are going to re-sell it.

I agree!!Goof proof is a scam and there furniture sucks as well.It looks good,feels good but Quality sucks and breaks down my bed now feels like im lying on a tilt.I roll out of bed,instead of getting up normaly.You cant buy bedding from Bob s it will only last 6 months.Even if your 125lbs

Customer Service at Bob's is the WORST. They have been the most unhelpful people on earth. After trying to order a part for my 76 year old paralyzed father's chair for almost ONE MONTH, they are still incapable of resolving the issue! One simple remote control! On top of their countless errors, not telling me the truth over the phone, getting the address wrong even though I had given them updated information, and then they won't even extend a courtesy of having it delivered express EVEN though I've already paid for the part? Seriously? NEVER EVER buying ANYTHING from here again!

Bob's furniture is HORRIBLE! If you buy from Bob's and get screwed, it's you're own fault! You've been warned! Poor quality furniture. Bought the Bob's "goof proof" guarantee- what a SCAM! A year and a half later and my sofa has two broken legs and a ripped seam, and they won't repair it. They say that since I moved, I'm not covered. What? They took my money no problem, now that I need repairs, I'm out of luck. They also told me when I made the purchase that the goof proof guarantee would cover everything- what a LIE. Go on their website and read the fine print, there are so many things that are not covered, it's a worthless product, just a big moneymaker for them. When I got them on the phone, their customer service SUCKS-HORRIBLE! They could care less once they get you money. AVOID BOB'S LIKE THE PLAGUE! Give your business to someone who cares about their customers, not some crappy business with cheesy commercials.

I purchased furniture from bobs in june 2012 with a delivery date of in june. They delivered to the wrong address. The next delivery date they showed up with the wrong color sleeper sofa and no twin sleeper sofa. July 6 was to be my next date and this was confirmed by customer care and a call from the store in Woodbridge nj.On july 5 after 6 hours on the phone being transfered from the store to customer service and back again I was informed I did not confirm my address a out and out lie. I then was told the furniture was not in stock and the new date would be august 11.I can not cancel because I will be out $300 for the mattresses. Don; buy from Bobs they are dishonest and could care less about their customers after payment. Beware !

The goofproof protection plan is a scam i paid $150 got a milkstain on my sofa and they refuse to clean it after paying. Do not buy it its a total rip-off. I'll make sure all my friends at citi- field know about this ripoff.

I bought furniture [at] BOBS and to this day I have had one problem the wood under the bed split and they came and fixed it with no problem. Had a stain on the couch (small) and the guy shampooed the entire couch for me.........

Purchased a Bob O Pedic two years ago. Loved it for the first year. Then it started to sag and cause a great deal of pain to my back. Sleeping was very difficult.
It was time to look for a new mattress, but first I realized I had a warranty, and purchased for a great deal of additional money, a ‘special cover’ that would protect the mattress. Because as the sales person told me, they would not warranty it if it had spills, cuts or marks on the mattress. I called Bobs and had to wait a week for someone to come out. He showed up dressed like he was mowing the grass, with his wife/girlfriend in tow. Comes into the house and looks at the bed and says “looks good to me” because there were no stains or marks on the mattress. Of course there wasn’t, we had purchased a protector cover. It his ultimate wisdom, deemed the mattress ‘fine’. Never sat on it, never laid on it, it was fine. He calls Customer Service and asks me to sign his paperwork. I see that he wrote the mattress was fine, so I wrote on it, “NO the mattress is not fine, it sags and hurts customers back”, then my signature. He tells CS, “she wrote on my paperwork”, like he was ten. CS then tries to pacify me by telling me how a Bob O Pedic is made, I let them know I was not interested in a lesson on construction, I wanted a replacement and something was wrong with this mattress. Needless to say, they are not replacing anything, and I am shopping anywhere else but Bobs.

Well, all I can say is damn. I've purchased from Bob's before. I thought it was just me that wanted to knock the face off the delivery men. On second thought I will buy elsewhere. Thank you reviewers for saving me from stress and back aches. And who cares if Bob's has a million square ft. Warehouse. Reused is reused. Smarter One, I think not, just an idiot. I bought some furniture from Bob's. It was BEAUTIFUL! Ialso bought the goof proof plan on every peice I bought. My stuff started breaking apart so I called Bob's to make a claim. They gave me nuber after number to call and still no help. Never again will I buy anything from them, or recommend them to anyone looking for furniture. I hate Bob's!!!

Blantantly lied to about the delivery time. I had a 2 week shedule out and they called me the weekend before telling me it wouldn't be coming for another 3 weeks. Keep in mind they had already charged my credit card but COULDNT RSERVE THE FURNITURE... to boot they resheduled for a holiday weekend. Seriously Bob's go F* yourself and the lady at the Natick, MA store who lied to us about timing. Would never deal with them again

I ordered a modular sofa frm Bob's after going to many furniture stores and not finding what I wanted. I love it.I have beeb sleeping on it for seven months since I live in a studio andd it is more comfortable then my bed.it is microfiber and spills clean up beautifully.the delivery people were courteous and on time.I also ordered an electric fireplace that I have used all winter and absolutely love.I get so many compliments on it.I am def going to bob's again.
