Bob's Discount Furniture Sucks
Okay so the prices are good. I ordered and everything arrived fine. The customer service line is a BIG nightmare. Trying to get a human on the line sends you in a maze of menu's that are very limited and has no option to talk with a human.
This inadequate customer service line is poor judgment and can show that a company is scared of complaints and is not going to help you with any of those complaints. If I knew this before my purchase I would not of shopped at Bob's and expect that you exercise extreme caution before using Bob's furniture for your next purchase.
Update: So I had my sofa/couch for under 2 years and the top the the coach is starting to turn white. Unfortunately Bob's Goof proof protection plan is won't cover it because the terms are so limited it's worthless.

Horrendous customer service
Here's My Bob's nightmare. Purchased $3,000 of furniture. All is well except two chairs wobble and mattress stinks to high heaven. Called. They sent out a rep. He told us he had a cold and couldn't smell. Wiggled the chairs. Went back to Bob's for final piece we were deciding upon. Learned at showroom that the rep had written that the mattress did not smell (not -that he had a cold) AND that he had measured the chairs (he never took out a tape measure). Claim refused on total lies. I went crazy in the showroom and manager then offered to replace the items. Stupidly purchased the additional bed. Replacement items arrive and the new bed. One chair good and other one not. Bed stinks to high heaven again. I told the delivery man I would not accept. He said customer service would call by 3 pm. Here's the priceless part-- I thought he was taking the boxes out to the truck but he took off. He never had me sign the paper or that I wasn't accepting because he disappeared and likely forged my signature on the papers. After 50 minutes on the phone and horrible agents who told me that the horrible smell was expected and they wouldn't exchange, I had to go crazy again. Lo and behold, they are replacing.
So the moral is you have to threaten them with everything under the sun because they LIE, DISAPPEAR and TELL YOU THAT's NORMAL when it isn't. Spend the little bit extra and save yourselves the hassle of their non-existent customer service.

I suggest Big Lots for Mattresses. I hear people in this thread saying if you pay less then 600 for mattresses you get garbage. Mattress markups are at 100%. Thats simply not true. Big Lots is a distributor for overstock Serta. They carry a whole line for low dough. Same mattresses at Sleepys are $1000 vs. Big Lots at $500. Do some research and stop believing all the marketing. Regarding Bobs...I am torn. I think there are some reasonable quality items here, and some real crap. Considering a sofa there...I know it won't be great, but it's also 50% of the cost of anywhere else. So that said, if it lasts half the time (most furniture/appliances these days are made to last 7 years only), then maybe I've done ok.

Purchased a Bob-O-Pedic adjustable bed. Delivered on time, with no issues. Looks great, doesn't smell and I don't detect any trace of any bug or other residue.

Should have looked here first.
I ordered a dresser, which was then scheduled for delivery. I took said delivery day off from work. Bob's then called me the day before the expected delivery to " schedule a delivery". After a long and fruitless conversation, Bob's customer care claimed they had no record of my initial delivery. They offered no support, the only other delivery days they had would require me to take yet another day off from work (for a dresser that may or may not arrive). The error is on Bob's part, yet I will be wasting valuable vacation time. I wound up canceling the order; it took them an additional 30 minutes to figure out how to cancel the order. Pretty sure they can't do anything right. BOB'S STINKS, DO NOT SHOP THERE!!!

Bobs Discount Furniture-Customer Service is a nightmare. Once you buy from Bobs they could care less about your needs for service. I made a purchase recently and was told if I filled out a Bobs Furniture Credit Card I would receive a 0% interest payment plan for 12 months. I hadn't planned on applying for their store credit card before I made the purchase but I did when I heard the offer. My application was denied. I was embarrassed. My credit rating is 'excellent' and almost perfect. I am somewhat obsessed with my credit rating and follow my rating, credit card reports, bank statements regularly so I was very alarmed when my credit application was denied. By law the credit company-in this case -Wells Fargo-must notify me within 60 days why the credit was rejected. In the meantime, I lost sleep worryng about my credit and my identity possibly being stolen. After contacting every credit reporting agency and reviewing their reports, reviewing every credit card statement and working with my bank I was assured nothing was unexpected or unusual. My credit is still almost perfect. I made calls to the store where I made the purchase and to Bobs customer care and was told to contact Wells Fargo-although they could not give me a direct contact telephone number for Wells Fargo that would help me to speak with a Wells Fargo customer service person. I wanted to know what happened and why couldn't Bobs-who supposedly cares about their customer-help me to find out why-after all this was a Bobs store credit card. Every Bobs person I spoke said this was not there problem-I pointed out I filled out a Bobs Furniture Credit Card application and not a Wells Fargo credit card application. Bobs absolutely could not care less about me or the fact that this credit rejection lowered my credit score. Oh, by the way, Bobs was very happy and eager to take my check to pay for the furniture. Bobs got their money and ran from me as a customer as fast as they could. I have been in sales, marketing and retail for over 30 years. I am retired. THE TYPE OF TREATMENT I RECEIVED COMES FROM THE TOP MANAGEMENT. Beware when you make a Bobs Discount Furniture purchase this factual story is Bobs customer service in action. Bobs is the worst and I also made the mistake of buying the extra furniture insurance and based on what I am reading from other customers who had to call the goof proof service for furniture repairs and were not given the care as promised I am expecting the worst if I need help. Bobs is another discount store that makes promises just to get your money first then follows a step by step process that frustrates you until you stop calling because you know its a waste of time. I hate it when I have been duped by companies making promises just to get my money and I fell for it.

The sofa I purchased from Bob's is complete garbage. You rub your hand on the material on the cushions and it peels off - reminds me of all those feathers floating around after a pillow fight. The sofa material is literally disintegrating with the slightest touch. I guess you get what you pay for (in this case $500). To get a good quality sofa, I assume one needs to pay at least $2000 or more at a respectable furniture store.

I furnished my main floor home with Bob's,furniture is something else. The bedroom furniture in both bedrooms at falling apart and the living room furniture has this light lime free stuffing that keeps coming on the outside of the sofa and loveseat. I will never shop at Bob's again. I had Bob !!!

I bought a coffee table and two end tables and so far so good. I have also purchased a purchased a seven seats dinning table and its ok. I purchased love seat and sofa and reported the flaws on both and was sent damaged goods. Anyways I'm given a new delivery date so I have to wait to see the result before adding another bad report. Two thousand One hundred and Seven Dollars Forty Cents for me is not easily acquire. I am certain that I will take very strict measure retrieve my money.

I too am a first (AND LAST) time customer of Bobs and their Goof Proof. I believe in strength in numbers. BBB does nothing. However, if enough of us contact our local news agencies, maybe they will get our voice out there. Something has to be done! This is deceptive advertising at its worst. They are continually breaking the law. I am a single mom who has worked and saved for what I thought was a quality product and warranty and got screwed. Something can be done!!!!

I do not recommend Bob’s Furniture. They completely ruined my delivery that I paid at least a hundred dollars for. I requested that my furniture be delivered after 3pm. They sent me an automated confirmation a few days later saying it would be delivered between 4-6pm. I get a call around 11:30am stating they were trying to make my delivery, but no one was home to accept it. Of course no one was home! Why would they deliver it 5 hours before the scheduled time frame?
I called and spoke with a few customer service reps and then asked to speak with a manager. I explained to him the situation and that I still have the message confirming 4-6pm. He said he does not know where that message came from. The manager went on to defend their decision to deliver it early, and said the next delivery time was not until 4 days later. He also said they would not compensate me or try to deliver it sooner because it was not due to a medical emergency.
I am having guest over for New Year’s Eve, and now thanks to Bob’s Furniture we’ll all be standing in an empty room. Do not order from them. They are clearly unorganized and do not care about their customers.

Bobs Bed Bugs, have eaten up my poor child brand new bed new chair,but they will repay, in due season.Heartless ,crude and no compassion But the company will hurt.The Grace of God is Slow but Just, I pray no other family go through this.I did not complain about. The delivery folks and I did not complain about, about the customer service.life happens, but this is crude and unjust.

I bought furniture from bobs the bed they delivered a little damaged the delivery guy said he was going to called it into the company and someone will come back to replace the part when I called customer service they said nobody called it in they were going to send an email in 24 hours they didn't do that I'm making payments through wells Fargo

Ordered a TV stand with fireplace. First came with some dents and scratches
Second came with a panel cracked. Third try chipped corner
Fourth they didn't even bring the stand just the fireplace.Fifth time same thing
And delivery person alays ask to use your phone
Fireplace stopped working and we called they to tell them it would not turn on. Waited all day for a representative. When he show'd up her pressed the on button and said "it doesn't turn on, that's an electricalternative problem, I can't fix that. Can I use your phone to call the office." They are sending out a new fireplace. I can only hope it doesn't take 5 more try's

I purchased a vanity desk in August 2013. The desk had a jewelry box built in and a lid that opened to the top. By January 2014, the lid became so misaligned that the lid would not close. In attempting to close the lid, the left hinge broke through the desk. I called to report a warranty claim on February 3, 2014 and was told that they would replace the desk since the desk would not be serviceable. I was instructed to submit photos, and did so the same day.
After no response, I followed up to my warranty claim on March 15, 2014. The customer service rep dialed in an account manager as well and they "reviewed the photos". They told me that it appeared to be accidental damage and would therefore not be covered. I asked how a misaligned desk could be accidental damage. As I live alone, I know the desk did not experience anything beyond the normal wear and tear. I requested they send someone to investigate further as it would be immediately apparent that this was in fact caused by a manufacturer's defect and not accidental damage. They refused.
After an additional 5 minutes of arguing, it became apparent that they had no intention to remedy the situation. Now I am stuck with a $300 piece of trash that I have no use for. I am appalled by the lack of responsibility and customer service provided by Bob's. I will never shop there again.
