Bob's Discount Furniture Sucks
Okay so the prices are good. I ordered and everything arrived fine. The customer service line is a BIG nightmare. Trying to get a human on the line sends you in a maze of menu's that are very limited and has no option to talk with a human.
This inadequate customer service line is poor judgment and can show that a company is scared of complaints and is not going to help you with any of those complaints. If I knew this before my purchase I would not of shopped at Bob's and expect that you exercise extreme caution before using Bob's furniture for your next purchase.
Update: So I had my sofa/couch for under 2 years and the top the the coach is starting to turn white. Unfortunately Bob's Goof proof protection plan is won't cover it because the terms are so limited it's worthless.

My husband and I purchased a new leather recliner furniture set on September 30, 2016. My husband was sitting on the recliner and his keys that were hooked to his pants caught on the recliner near the left side of where your leg would raise and caused a tear. At that time I noticed how thin and cheap the leather actually is. I called Bobs who sent a tech out on March 16th supposedly to try and sew the tear given the weird spot it was ripped. He told me he could not sew it, took a few pictures and asked me to get my phone and dial a number put me on the phone with I have no clue who I was talking to and he left. The person on the phone said I should take pics and send to her which I did while on the phone with her. She told me someone would be in contact with me in a few days. No one called so I called Bob’s again who then put me in touch with Guardian. Guardian told me they were sending another tech out from Tri county Furniture. Mind you I had to take 2 days off of work for this! The second tech came took a few pics and told me I would be getting a replacement, give it a few days and call Guardian. I indeed gave it a few days call Guardian who then told me I would be receiving a letter within 7-10 days. I just got off the phone with Guardian who said they sent a letter and the letter includes a statement that the tear was made by a pet in the home. What?
I asked how can a tech determine a tear was made by a pet. Guardian said the way the foam was missing from the recliner a pet must have chewed it. Not the case at all. First of all what foam is located on the side of the recliner where the leg/foot area rises. There is much foam there to begin with. No one sits on the side so why the need for foam/stuffing? I completely understand that your so-called Goof Proof warranty does not cover pet damage but this tear was not at all caused by a pet. For that matter how would the tech know I had a pet? I can answer that because he heard the dog bark. My dog is very well trained and does not chew. He is 8 years old golden retriever. Chewing normally occurs in puppies not an 8 year old dog.
I have had other real leather furniture in the past that I purchased from Darvin Furniture in Orland Park, IL and that leather was much thicker than your cheap leather. I knew we should have gone back to Darvin rather than your location.
With that being said I am highly dis-satisfied with Bob’s and Guardian. This has problem has been going on for over a month now. The tear is increasing in size as I assume due to the recliner going up and down while sitting on it. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau on Bob’s and Guardian.
I want an immediate response to this problem and would like a brand new recliner now.

I purchased a recliner from Bob's with a Good Proof 5 yr warranty. The frame came loose. The said it could not be fixed and the warranty was voided because I broke it by sitting in it
The customer service is terrible.

Removal? Nope! Delivery fee

So they can screw you on removal and claim you suffered no damage because removal

How to anonymously file a sexual harassment complaint at Bob's furniture

My husband and I purchased a king size bed from Bob's on the strength we could return it if unsatisfied. We purchased the bed, the mattress covering, the whole package. We don't like it. We went to Bob's to discuss our options. We wanted a queen size bed. We understood we would get store credit and had no issue with that. At first the salesman said we could do it and even get credit for the mattress covering. He spoke to his supervisor and the whole thing changed. He would not even assist me and made me call customer service. They refused to help and said I could only exchange it for a king not a queen. I asked them to make an exception and was refused. I will never ever ever purchase anything from Bob's again. They do not stand by their product or word!

Avoid Bob's We need to buy a bunk bed for our daughter as she entered the sleepover phase of her life. We decided to try Bob's as it just opened not far from us. We went for cheap a we knew we just needed it to last a few years. We bought a bunk bed for $400.It was delivered a week later. As soon as the two jamokes unloaded and began to assemble it I could see how poorly it was constructed and knew it was going to be problems. Not more than a month or two the whole frame was wobbly. The screw nut that were inserted in the ends of the running boards that connect to the head and footrest were pulling out. It did not help to keep wrenching the nuts back in as it just continued to act like a drill bit shredding the wood. This is because the bolts were inserted running with the grain of the wood. I thankfully did not purchase any protection plan. I was handy enough to make repairs that made it safe. I have bought cheap furniture that was better quality than that! I will never ever buy from Bob's
