Wachovia Bank Sucks
Wachovia is business model is the worst I ever seen. They are worst than the IRS, in that like to "tax" the poor by only charging brokerage accounts with minimal balances an annual fee.
Have a brokerage account that had less than $10,000 balance? Did you not Generate them any commmission during the year? If not, than you may get charged $85/year. Basically they are charging you money to let your money sit with them. Wachovia Bank is one of the biggest banks in the world. They must have grown too big because they no longer want to do business with the "little folks". You will notice this when dealing with their customer service and viewing their account fee schedules. They come up with new ways to charge people before coming up with better ways to do business with people. I hate companies that have no care for customer satisfaction.

Just got a really pushy telemarketer calling from 1-866-228-8505 trying to sell me some health plan from "Wachovia". The person had more than two rebuttals which is very poor telemarketing and wouldn't let me speak to ask to get off the calling list. This puts a bigger damper on the Wachovia image and Wells Fargo (who now owns Wachovia). The telemarketer left the number 1-866-215-3464 to call if I had any other questions. I am not sure if this was actually Wachovia (I really hope it's not) but they need to do something to stop it.

Wachovia LIED and Mislead us into taking a low rate"flexible" Mortg. The trouble was we clearly insisted on a Fixed rate and made it very clear. Our first pmt was made, Our 2nd bill came and it was lower!!! We called to complain...who complains about a lower bill? Someone who clearly asked for a fixed rate mortg. and got something very different after being assured many times that the loan was a fixed rate loan. It cost us thousands to close the loan and get a fixed rate, closing fees 3x for a lower rate mortg. promise...Who would do that? The bank insisted it was a fixed rate, we asked many many many many times and the paper work was decieving and unclear. Even asked one last time before signing to make sure. In addition, a few years earlier I had a $10,000 inventory delivery for a store I opened. With the truck at the door... The bank made up a check and gave my money to someone...I went to pay for my inventory and found the money was GONE!!! How do you make up a check for somone not on the accout and give them your money??!!! I eventually got it back but you can imagine the damage to me an my business.

A friend of mine works as a teller there. He told me tonight that they are going to take $4 a hour away from him if he does not take a higher position as lead teller. He has been there for over twenty some years and even got an incrase in pay last year. How can they do that. If that happens I will do every thing in my power to bring down this bank. The president must need 20 million more in bonuses this year. On top of this they don't pay anything in interest. This company (if that's what you want to call it) really sucks. They have been after him to sell more to the people that come to his window, even if they were there earlier in the week. I would think this is harassment and I would close my account if I were them. I would think this is all coming from Wells Fargo Bank. So I will be getting non there case also. More to follow.

Went to Wachovia in Reisterstown MD today to cash a check(under $100) that I got for selling something to a co-worker. First I called to verify that I could cash a Wachovia check there even though I do not have an account with them. The guy told me yes. I went to the drive through, no one else in line , was told by a lady that the drive thru was for account holders only! (Are your water fountains segregated too?) She told me I had to come in and have 2 forms of id. No problem I thought! Went in, waited in line, was told by teller that I had to speak to someone else. Was directed to a young lady at a desk. I went over, was solicited to join Wachovia, I declined. She then put a small ink pad in front of me and told me I had to provide a fingerprint on the check in order for them to cash it! (What next, do I have to provide a DNA sample!Where's the bathroom? Where's my speciman cup?) How come Mr. Nice Guy on the phone never told me that? How come Ms. Nice Gal who threw me out the drive thru window line never told me that? Wasted so much of my precious lunch time. Not even funny! I felt humiliated, like I was a criminal! I said forget it I'll take it to MY BANK- M&T Who I have had for years even when it was First National Bank. Wachovia REALLY DOES SUCK!

You all need to get it together. We are a huge company and we have a lot of branches, we work hard at making our clients happy. But if you overdraft it hurts us, and as a trans atlantic company we can't afford to be aplogetic when it comes to overdrafts and thieves. Most of these stories are hogwash and never occured. OK Mr. Wachovia Big Shit, we believe you. It was my fault that you ordered my weekend purchases so that I had TWO ISF charges (totalling 52 dollars) over a measly .68 cents when I had clearly deposited enough money to cover my upcoming purchases on Friday night. You suck. Your company sucks. Get over it.

Only a child would make foolish purchases without making sure your balance is well above whatever the charges are. You walk the line your going to get hit. No bull. It is your fault. And about "stoneys" story..of course we would put up that much red tape for him..he's probably a burnt out druggie, guy comes in, we don't know, cashing a check that doesn't benefit us. Were taking a risk..we are a cautious bank chain. "Friendly banks" fail. Horribly. No grandma, you can't get a student loan for your deliquient son who will prob drop out and never pay us back his balance. No "stoney" you can't cash your check when you walk in looking like a hippie commercial. You peons need to realize that its not about you and your sorry lives. Its about money and calculated risks.

2 weeks ago i put a 900.00 deposit into my acct from another one of my banks the next tuesday the check cleared my 2nd bank where it was drawn from then wed wachovia froze my acct when i called them i was told they thought my ck was bad after it cleared my bank that it was drawn on later that day 2 checks i wrote from my wachovia acct tried to clear the were declined even though they were a total of 250.00 and i had over 900.00 in the acct the rep from wachovia now will not answer the phone or return my calls and the 1st check i wrote wants 15.00 fee for a bad check and the 2nd check i wrote wants 25.00 bad check fee and 48.00 to turn my phone service back on i hope i need to call 911 for something and cant because this will make wachovia libale and will be name in a law suite tomorrow i meet with a attny

Gave them everything they wanted regarding a H.A.M.P. Now they want the family member that is helping me to reside with me! What kind of BS. is this. They are constantly changing their so called policy. For what? To benefit them in the long run. My house will probably foreclose because they are not willing to work with me although the insist they are doing everything to help. They only make notes in their system to benefit them not the customer. Wachovia can go to hell in a hand basket! I don't care!

This bunch of crooks almost wouldnt cash a voucher writen to me that said on their Check... PAY!!!! if they hadnt paid me, Iwas ready to file Fraud charges through the local police Department against them.. they wouldnt even tell me if the account had sufficiant funds or not.. I had to drive a long way to get it verified and collect the money,, they dont even have a "Customer Relations" Department... good grief how obviously crooked can you get!!

Wachovia Bank just stole $175 dollars in OD fees. They did not credit deposits in a timely manner. These were cash deposits. I am an attorney. I am going to start a class action lawsuit. Wachovia is one of the worst banks I have ever delt with. Their representatives lie and make up ellaborate stores. They will transfer you from representative to representative just to get you off the phon. Their electronic system is altered to have transactions go through in different orders then you orginally authorized. WORST BANK I HAVE EVER HAD MY MONEY> WELLS FARGO tarnished their brand image by buying them.

I don't even deal with Wachovia and I still manage to get harassing calls from them for an Alberto Feber. No matter how many times I tell them they have the wrong number, they still call me. I even got selective caller rejection. That does no good because they just call me from another number. So far I've had to block 5 numbers from them and I can only block up to 6.

You know Wachovia's really bad, when one goes in for a personnal loan and so does your best friend and boths credit score is the same, no co-signers , and your friend gets approved and you don't.
