Gov. Palin announced over the weekend that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant. And you thought John Edwards was in trouble before! Now he has really done it. -- "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," 9/2/08
This joke is practically the same as Letterman's joke.
Wait, think we can rid the late night of comedy, we have grounds to fire Conan too!
"Sarah Palin is going to drop the first puck at the Philadelphia Flyers' hockey game. Then Palin will spend the rest of the game trying to keep the hockey players out of her daughter's penalty box."
Hey let's not stop there. We should impeach Obama for his joke about special Olympians:
When Obama told Jay Leno that he had recently bowled a 129 score, Leno replied dryly, "That's very good, Mr. President." Obama chuckled and said it's "like the Special Olympics or something."
No actually my thoughts on this if you don't want to hear bad jokes then get rid of your TV or keep it tuned into your FOX news channel. I wish these uptight people could find something else to spend their energy on and maybe do something that could benefit society.

This can't be right - an American talking common sense? In Australia, we never thought it would happen.
I hope it's as contagious as that damn swine flu.

If Jay Leno had any sense of decency left, he would not go back to his old show. What he accomplishes by doing so is to tell his people that use to like him, 'I prefer money over principles'. In a way, that might have been the way it always was for him, but his fun crowd never got to see his hidden second face until now. Trying to do comedy as usual after this fiasco is as much as asking for failure with a huge bullhorn. Things will never be as good as before for clown Leno.

...oh and for those who say Leno is already very wealthy, he does not need any $. I agree only partially without defeating my first comment. The type of $ Jay Leno is after is not the one the average person is, but the one established people like himself don't mind adding because it comes attached to a reputation and to a career. Don't forget how celebrities and others get rated.
His wisest step would have been retiring after his new show failed to get enough viewers. He coming back while O'Brien is getting the boot, only says, Leno is hoping to 'prove' himself once more so he does not have to leave as the outcome of a failure. Coming back is going to make his failure 10 times bigger and in the end, those that used to like him have learned his dry jokes were part of a pitiful ego, something someone wrote (unlike O'Brien who writes his own jokes). Jay Leno=Sad Clown.
