The saddest part is that our forefathers came here to escape christianity and yet it has still somehow become a staple part of the american foundation.

They came here to escape religious persecution. The US is NOT founded on Christianity. I love how self righteous you religious fanatics are. Not everyone has to believe in your fictional BS. Darwin is correct!!

Disregard Religion, Acquire Knowledge.

[at]nonbeliever- Just to let you know, Darwin later discredited his own findings. Look it up genius.

I'd rather believe in God and be wrong about his existance then not believe and be wrong about it.

It may not be a part of the constitution, but religion was a major factor in all areas of the founding of this nation. The national anthem is a good example of how it was then and what has been forgotten in the name of tolerance. The last verse which hasn't been sang in countless years:
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Not only the Constitution but also the Treaty of Tripoli. In Article 11, it states:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

[at] nonbeliever so you dont believe in God...but you think that a fish or a monkey evolving into a human is possible? if that was the case...why would there still be monkeys and fish? I think people have a problem with religion because its hard for them to believe that someone loves them more than they can even comprehend! but its true! think of who you love more than life its self...God loves you more! and Jesus loves you so much that he went through hell and died for you...for all of us..that we might be saved! I dont know what everyone thinks they have to lose! the 2 most important commandments are to love your neighbor as yourself and to love God with all your heart! is that so hard to do? and could you imagine what a better world we would all live in if everyone did these 2 things...just 2 simple things!

..And then modern DNA testing proved that everything Darwin believed was absolutely 100% correct. Look it up "genius".
Sunday October 24, 2010 @ 10:38 PM
DNA never proved Darwin was correct, I took Biology and enough science classes to know what Darwin's studies showed. I'm not talking about something I've never studied, which obviously you are. There are so many faults in what he originally believed to be true. Use some logic at least, if your not interested in the real truth. You could at least not pick the dumbest theory that existed.
