It didn't fizzle. We learned he committed perjury back in may when he testified. And he leaked classified info when he released the contents of the conversation(if it happened, if not then perjury again)

So by definition. 5 years felony prison for perjury. 15 years felony prison for treason for leaking classified info.

Comey has problems but nothing thus far that will impact anybody other than himself. The investigation is centered around "collusion" and no evidence at this juncture that will support that charge. No question russia interferred, but nothing to the extent where they can prove it altered the vote to a degree that would swing the election. Let's be honest, in a legal sense, it's a far reach, and has been from the start. I'm no trump fan but it is what it is. It's going to be interesting for sure.

Absent proof of collusion, the interference from russia, in and of itself, has zero impact on trump. They've done it before and will do it again. If nothing else, the investigation will identify that and we can hopefully take preventative steps for the next election. I'm not naive enough to believe that many countries, including us, have done things with regards to elections in other countries, when it suits our interest. That's politics. I'll stand by the opinion that for every russian agent throwing "fake news" to influence the election, we probably had a thousand American trolls doing the same thing in our own country. Social media is ripe with that activity and the media of the day is gullible and thinks nothing of broadcasting stories absent confirmation these days
