We had the best system in the world. If it's not broken, a Democrat will fix it. Not to worry, it'll be tied up in litigation for at least the two years it'll take to have a Republican government repeal it.

France has the best health care system and America rates in at 37 (according to the World Health Org).

Leave it to the idiots in denial to feel offended by this status message. Only 4 future generations were gang raped by the healthcare bill, if thats even accurate. Using the same mentality, about 4 future generations in 3 countries (US, Iraq and Afghanistan) were screwed by Republicans, but whose counting, right? Surely not the hypocrites.

It is always amazing to me that when people try to defend this Health Care package, they never actually say that it is a good idea. They either say "At least we're doing something" or "I'm not saying it is the right plan, but..." Wow, really? Sometimes doing something for the sake of movement will set you back rather than pull you forward.

I live in Australia with a 'health care system' - Medicare. I have ever paid for surgery, hardly have to pay for a Dr and even then, I get money back, my sons has had free speech therapy and even when I had enough kids, free sterilisation and ALL was under a very good Dr (most do private also). We are on an income of $97k(au) a year and yes, it's all still free. All babies delivered free as well as all their after care, which runs into their early years then of course, free dental for them until they leave high school. Admittedly, our system is struggling a little right now but over all, if you don't or can't afford insurance, you get the same medical facilities totally free in ANY public hospital. The longest I have had to wait in A&E is 4 hours for a split eye. I have a few US friends here now and they can compare the two systems and prefer our Medicare, even with it's glitches.
Another fact is the US infant mortality rate for a first world country (again according to World Health Org) is quite alarming.
