Well spent?? For what??? To count the number of taxpayers and the number of illegals who didn't send it back? I can think of a lot of things we should be spending 85 million on.

That's a good point and I was wondering why they would do that too when I received it yesterday but then I thought 1.) The don't have to pay postage 2.) They maybe wanted to see how many letter were returned for having bad addresses before sending the actual package. (they could possible save money this way by saving on costs of printing the actual census to wrong addresses). That's the only logical explanation I could think of anyway.
