The stock market is up because its pumped full of printed money, its all fake. The US has lowered interest rates to the point where it is actually more profitable for many companies to borrow money and use the proceeds to buy back their own shares, thus eliminating the need to pay dividends on those shares.
The bull market is fake, fueled primarily by companies looking to save money on taxes rather than invest in undervalued shares. In effect they are, with the government’s help, tricking both their shareholders and individual investors into buying overvalued equities in order to generate bigger year-end executive bonuses for themselves.

It will move up or down regardless of who is president. It hit record levels with Bush and also Clinton. It also crashed under Clinton which you conveniently omit. It ebbs and flows and doesn't care what party is in office. However the presiding party gets to claim credit for highs and blame previous administrations for lows. It's just the way it is.
