Oddly enough craigslist is a cool place to find free stuff. Most people post the stuff because it is more convenient to give it away then throw it away. Here is some things I found:

• free dirt delivered
  
• Free desk on the street NOW
  
• 2 large bags of packing peanuts
  
• Free punching bag
  
• Free Guinee Pig
