I have to ask. What about the people who have lost their jobs that had health insurance and are now unable to get insurance because of preexisting conditions? I'm working and I can't get insurance. I think this may help me and other in the same situation. Lumping EVERYONE who may be eligible into the "lazy" category makes for good grandstanding, but not all are lazy. I do understand that a lot of people potentially will abuse this, but there are some who need it.

People would be happy to work if the Republicans hadn't f-ed up the economy there would be jobs. A decade of corporate welfare, not social welfare, has destroyed the economy and republicans have no one to blame but themselves.

I agree that this is a bad plan, and i am so tiered of watchin people on welfare having more kids to get more money, that is a program that looked good on paper to the liberals and needs to be abolished!

Give it a chance? Look at Canada, not working for them. They come to the US for their health care. I guess Americans will go to Mexico for their health care now. Robert, have you read the bill? I can hardly afford insurance for my family so now my rates will be much higher to cover the lazies who do not want to work and now will get free insurance. Tell you what, why dont all Americans quit working and let the government figure out how to pay for our insurance. Problem solved

Do you really think the government can manage health care? I think not, look at the boon doggle when they managed a small program like the cash for clunkers. Last I heard dealers were still waiting to get paid

Okay i can see how it can be abused... just like EVERY other thing in this world people will find a way to take advantage but the people that need it will now have a chance. I am about helping everyone i can, i make a good paycheck and i can afford my health care but the people that can not... i feel bad for. If my rates go up 10-70 bucks a month i dont give a crap.... I am helping America get on its feet and helping my fellow man. So all you tight wads that think paying a little more to help your fellow man is to much.... your the real terrorist. Honestly politics have become to much like sports... has anyone realized this... if the other team scores, you point out what they did wrong and how much they suck... but in the end of the day they scored. I know this might flop to be not that great, but on second hand what if it works? has anyone gave that an idea? ... Luke have you read the entire bill? do you have all the answers? nothing personally against you Luke I'm sure your a well educated man, but the problem is America has turned in to a sports arena... one person starts booing and then the people hearing him start... and on and on... not really knowing exactly what they are booing about. I'll say this i honestly didn't think it was going to pass.... but it has and that's cause the people that have a background in politics that we elected as a majority all agreed this is a good plan. So while the booing crowd is complaining not seeing the good side of anything all we can hope for is the rest of America is giving this a good shot. As for cash for clunkers "Fed up" it stimulated the economy a tad and got some of the gas whores off the road.... as for the dealerships not being paid that is false... im sorry but i have actually researched it and they are paid, i did just "hear" they were not paid... the only ones not paid as of yet where the ones that were trying to bend the program to get more profit for them... again people will always abuse what is given to them.

Robert, the cash for clumkers did not actually remove all the "gas whores" as you say. Under cover studies show many of these cars were not scrapped but rather resold to others as used automobiles. Our great grandkids are going to be paying for this. Its people like you that allow the free loading. You do not care if they raise my rates or taxes by $10-$70 a month? Ok how about I give you my account info and you wire me $70 a month no big deal. Keep giving in! Look at the schools, the lottery was supposed to save the school systems. Well the states found ways around giving all the money to the schools and the states with lotteries still have broke schools. Do not preach to me about helping man kind. I help more than enough with the amount of taxes I pay. Is 30-40% not enough already? Tell you what, make America a communist country and work for nothing except for the basics. There were many dealers who had not received a penny from the cash for clunkers 6 months after they submitted. Do not give me that crap there were tons of those stories. One dealer was owed over 1 million in rebates and he could not pay salaries because he was counting on that money. As someone else has said:
